This undergraduate-level course explores the dynamic intersection of preaching and theology through the prophetic voice of Bishop Veron Ashe. Drawing on a curated selection of Ashe’s sermons, the course investigates his theological emphases.
Ashe’s homiletics are rich with biblical typology, Pentecostal spirituality, and metaphysical reflection. His preaching does not merely deliver inspiration — it constructs theology through rhythm, metaphor, and prophetic urgency. Students will engage sermons as theological texts, exploring how Ashe communicates doctrine, corrects ecclesial culture, and forms spiritual identity from the pulpit.
Through close reading, guided theological analysis, reflection assignments, and practical application, students will encounter Ashe not only as a preacher but as a deeply formed theological voice within the Charismatic-Pentecostal tradition.
