This course equips students with practical tools to study the Bible in a way that is both faithful and creative. Beginning with an introduction to the Bible’s nature, organization, and versions, the course explores how Scripture reveals its own authority and purpose. Students will learn methods for outlining, note-taking, marking passages, and creating charts that make complex texts accessible. The heart of the course introduces a wide range of Bible study methods—devotional, book, chapter, paragraph, verse, word, topical, theological, typological, biographical, as well as approaches to studying biblical poetry and prophecy. Each method is explained and then applied so that students not only understand the technique but also practice using it. Along the way, attention is given to proper interpretation, the role of the Holy Spirit in study, and the need to apply biblical truths to life and ministry.
